Voter Information for Election
2000 |
. There are many issues being
addressed in the current election, that deal with
the military and with veterans. The American
Legion invited both of the Presidential Candidates
to address their 82nd National Convention on Sept
5, 2000. Gov. Bush came and spoke to the American
Legion, while Vice-President Gore chose not to.
The American Legion magazine reported on Gov.
Bush's comments and did a comparison between them
and the statements that Vice-President Gore had
already made on record. That comparison is among
the links that we have provided below for you to
use as you compare the candidates, their proposals
and their records to determine the best candidate
to support based on your personal beliefs. The
majority of links provided below are to the
American Legion website

link to are from recent issues of The American
Legion For God and Country magazine, which is
published by the American Legion and from official
American Legion Press
